If you don’t select anything, then SAI will apply any of the transformations to everything on a current layer, if you select something, then SAI will only apply it to that selection. The other options are there, split up, so you can focus on those transformations, without messing up by using the others accidentally. Transform allows you to do ALL of the options below, all at once. Now, these are the interesting options, and these are why I wanted to go in-depth on this tool. I have no idea what the Drag Detection does however… Every time I try to see what it does, it doesn’t appear to do anything for me. That said, here’s the options you can use with the Selection Tool:Īlright, that first option, the Autoselect layer, is to just to easily drag whatever is on your current layer around without actually selecting anything, so it automatically drags EVERYTHING on a layer around all at once. Simple brush I use it for soft shading and blend tool. I vary the Blending, Dilution and Persistence settings a lot when using it for scenery painting. I use it a lot for flat colors, lineart, cel shading and traditional-like painting. Useful for sketches and “sketchy” lineart. This is more for my personal backup than to “share” them but feel free to try them if you want to! The handwritting on each image was made with the brush in question. I’m not sure how useful this might be, but I decided to upload my brushes settings for PaintTool SAI 2.
